Fraxetin(Fraxoside) is a compound of coumarin. It is a flake crystal (ethanol), melting point 228℃, turns yellow at 150℃, turns brown at melting point, is a hydrolytic product of siderin, soluble in ethanol and hydrochloric acid aqueous solution, slightly soluble in boiling water, insoluble in ether.
